Utility Mapping & GPR Wakefield
Survey X provides utility mapping and ground penetrating radar (GPR) surveys from its base at Unit 2b, Wakefield 41 Business Park, supporting projects in Wakefield, Ossett, Horbury, Normanton, Castleford and Pontefract.
Surveys are scoped around access, existing records, project needs and required deliverables.
Utility Mapping & GPR Survey Capabilities
We employ a multi-technology approach to detect and map buried services. Factors such as access restrictions, congestion, depth, ground conditions, and signal interference can influence detection; our findings are based on professional surface survey techniques and available records.
Records Review
Comprehensive planning and review of existing buried service records to inform site access and survey methodology.
EML Detection
Electromagnetic locating techniques for the detection of metallic and traceable utility services.
GPR Scanning
Ground penetrating radar helps investigate buried features, including some non-metallic services, where ground conditions permit. Results are interpreted alongside other survey information.
CAD Deliverables
CAD and PDF outputs prepared to the agreed scope, including utility plans and sketches with clearly noted survey limits.
Survey Limitations
Access constraints, service congestion, and ground conditions can limit detection. Survey findings are based on available information at the time of the surface investigation.
