Survey Methodology
Traceable pipes are followed from accessible entry points using a high-frequency transmitter or sonde. The sonde is introduced via CCTV crawler, push rod, or jetted carrier where scoped for the project. A ground-level receiver unit records the precise route, direction, and indicative depth. This method allows for the accurate mapping of drainage assets where direct visual line-of-sight is not possible.

Please note that depth readings are indicative only and may be significantly affected by transmitter signal strength, specific ground conditions, and pipe material (e.g. metallic or plastic). Inaccessible entry points, structural collapses, heavily silted or flooded pipes, and metallic or otherwise unpassable routes may prevent successful tracing. Our survey methodology does not provide a guarantee of complete detection across all site environments.
